Jaguar Leather Double Wristlet

The jaguar is the largest feline in the American continent, and the third around the world. This beautiful animal was highly esteemed in pre-hispanic cultures. The Aztec, Mayans, and Olmecs, all depicted men with feline features and traits. Rulers, warriors, and priests revered this feline for its unique attributes representing nature, especially night and day. They believed it played an important in the myth of creation, and that kinds and noblemen were descendants of this magnificent animal.

The Mayan culture adopted this feline as the main icon in their art forms. Ek Balam, a Mayan archeological site in Yucatán bears its name: "black jaguar". This beautiful feline lives in the tropical jungles of South-West Mexico, around  the limits with Belize and Guatemala. Due to the loss of habitat, its future is uncertain, and it is now part of the endangered wildlife list.

If soiled, carefully clean the surface area using water and soft detergents. To keep your leather products in optimum condition, clean with a soft dry cloth, or, if necessary have them professionally cleaned.
