Noche Buena Mexican Leather Wristlet

Its original Náhuatl name was cuetlaxóchitl, or “flower that withers”. The Poinsettia plant is originally from Mexico and is now one of the main products in the segment of ornamental plants in this country. Legend tells of a battle that was waged in Tlachco, between the Mexica and the Chontal natives for the right to rule the territory. Grammar in this sentence - This battle covered the land in red, and the roots of a white wildflower the had witnessed the bloodshed soaked up the blood, and withered. The following year, Cuetlaxóchitl bloomed into a different plant, one with leaves dyed in bright red, reminiscent of the color of Chontal blood. With the arrival of the conquering and evangelizing Spaniards, this flower was used as a Christian decorative element during the Christmas season in New Spain, because of its intense color, just as we know it now. This flower is known in Mexico as “Nochebuena”.
