Otomí comes from the Nahuatl word meaning “bird hunter”. This culture settled in the central region of Mexico, in what are now the states of Mexico, Hidalgo, Queretaro, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Puebla, and Veracruz. The Otomí people are wonderful examples of craftsmanship, representing Mexico in their art as a colorful country. Their most well-known craft is the Tenango, a mosaic of colors.
