THE STORY

Inspired by the beloved Mexican game La Lotería, “El Nopal” reimagines CARLOTA’s classic baguette silhouette with an engraved nopal cactus pattern across the body and smooth leather on the flap. The nopal is not only part of a traditional Mexican game but also an element of agriculture, gastronomy, and a primary symbol on the Mexican flag, making it an important part of Mexico’s iconography.

Compact but surprisingly spacious, it fits your daily essentials with ease, while the interior pocket keeps everything organized and within reach. The bag includes a removable nopal-shaped coin purse charm with a side zipper closure, keeping items within quick reach. A comfortable, effortless style, finished with details that celebrate Mexico's unmistakable spirit.

ABOUT THE BRAND

CARLOTA — Guadalajara, Mexico

Founded by siblings Gerardo and Daniela, CARLOTA is named after their grandmother, Carlota Camacho Hall — a recognized painter in 1800s Mexico whose artistic spirit lives on in every piece they create. Each leather bag is handcrafted in Guadalajara, drawing from the colors, landscapes, and folklore of Mexican tradition. To own a CARLOTA piece is to become part of that journey — a celebration of family, art, and the cultural richness of Mexico in every stitch.
