Long ago, on the warm Cadena street, in Mexico, we played under the watchful eye of a fuchsia plant, our laughter mingling with the sweet scent of its flowers. Little did we know that these innocent moments would shape our destiny and spark a journey that would transcend borders and generations.


In the beginning, it was just a poignant memory etched in our mind—a farewell to family, a tight hug from our grandmother, sealing this moment with a kiss on our foreheads and a leap of faith into the unknown. The journey from Calle Cadena to Ella Street marked the beginning of a new chapter, a fusion of two worlds, two identities. It was a journey of resilience, of hope, and of the unwavering love of a mother who dared to dream for her daughters.


As we navigated this new path, we stumbled upon a friend with handmade earrings that sparked a newfound purpose. What started as a simple gesture blossomed into Cadena a labor of love, a marketplace for artisanal treasures that celebrate our Latinidad, our heritage, and our roots. Cadena is a revolution of love, empowerment, and self-realization. It is a tribute to our bicultural experience, to the strength and resilience of immigrant women, to the voices and stories of artisans who breathe life into each creation. It is a sanctuary of self-expression, a celebration of diversity, and a homage to the artisans and brands that breathe life into our creations.

Calle Cadena

Our story begins in an old house on Calle Cadena, the street where we grew up and took our first steps in Mexico. It was more than just an address; it · was the backdrop of our earliest memories, filled with family, love, and the rhythms of a life we cherished. At the ages of five and seven, we left that home behind when our mother made the bittersweet decision to bring us to the United States. Our journey from Calle Cadena to new opportunities in the U.S. was transformative, opening doors to possibilities we could have never imagined.


As fate would have it, when we arrived in Dallas, Texas, life led us to another significant street: Ella Street. In Spanish, ella translates to "her," a poignant tribute to the woman who has been the foundation of our journey-our mother. From Calle Cadena to Ella Street, our story is one of resilience, love, and the merging of two worlds. As we reflect on our experiences, we realize that it has become our mission to unite these worlds-honoring both our roots and the opportunities we've worked hard to create.


Cadena is a love letter to our bicultural experience as first-generation Mexican American women. We are on a mission to uplift the voices and stories of artisans and brands from Latin America who preserve the beauty of traditional craftsmanship-because the pride we carry on the inside, we wear on the outside.
