A powerful emblem of vitality and resilience, this handcrafted piece by Tita López features a winged hummingbird, cast in brass and suspended from a supple black leather choker. The pendant is sculpted using the traditional martillado technique, an ancestral metalwork method passed down through generations.
Crafted in collaboration with a goldsmith and welder, the process involves hand-hammering with tools of different weights and sizes, then finishing with stone chisels to bring out the intricate textures and depth of the design. The resulting piece is both tactile and symbolic—a harmony of craftsmanship, history, and expression.
