THE STORY

Inspired by the beloved Mexican game La Lotería, “El Nopal” bucket bag is a wearable work of art. Prickly pear cacti and hummingbirds are embossed across the smooth leather, with a detachable cactus zippered charm that adds a playful, functional finishing touch. Inside, the structured interior keeps everything in its place, with room for your wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, and the little extras that complete your day. The gold-tone chain strap lets you carry it by hand or on the shoulder, and a magnetic closure keeps things secure. The bag includes a removable nopal-shaped coin purse charm.

The nopal is not only part of a traditional Mexican game but also an element of agriculture, gastronomy, and a primary symbol on the Mexican flag, making it an important part of Mexico’s iconography.

ABOUT THE BRAND

CARLOTA — Guadalajara, Mexico

Founded by siblings Gerardo and Daniela, CARLOTA is named after their grandmother, Carlota Camacho Hall — a recognized painter in 1800s Mexico whose artistic spirit lives on in every piece they create. Each leather bag is handcrafted in Guadalajara, drawing from the colors, landscapes, and folklore of Mexican tradition. To own a CARLOTA piece is to become part of that journey — a celebration of family, art, and the cultural richness of Mexico in every stitch.
