A tribute to one of Mexico's most well-known images, La Catrina. This handmade statement piece features a natural raw quartz in the center of the cuff, with an adjustable wide cuff that tapers toward the back. The open back adjusts to fit, making this a bold, comfortable piece to wear every day or bring out for the season of remembrance.

HOW IT'S MADE

The journey of these pieces begins with raw quartz, meticulously sourced by skilled miners from Querétaro, Guanajuato, Sonora, and Veracruz. This raw quartz is then entrusted to the seasoned craftsmanship of Don Crecencio, an experienced lapidarist with over four decades of experience.

For this collection, an artisanal method known as martillado is also employed. This technique requires the artisan to use hammers of different shapes, sizes, and weights, depending on the alloy, the object's size, or the phase of the work. In addition, artisans use stone chisels to outline and adorn the object's final shape.

Tita López, a graduate of the prestigious INBA Academy of Fine Arts in San Miguel de Allende, was immersed in art from childhood. Raised in a family of artists and shaped by her father, a painter and sculptor, Tita's passion for creativity has always guided her.
